With over 35 years of teaching experience and a lifelong dedication to both education and healthcare, my journey has been one of passion, purpose, and profound impact. It all began as an 8th-grade science teacher in Compton, CA, where I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of education in shaping young minds. Later, I moved to Birmingham, AL, to teach biology at Lawson State Community College, further deepening my commitment to nurturing future generations.

As a solo medical practitioner for over 20 years, I often faced challenges with new hires who lacked the practical skills essential for success in the medical field. This recurring issue ignited a vision: to create an institution that not only provided exceptional health education but also addressed the personal and socioeconomic barriers that many aspiring healthcare professionals face.

When I acquired my own 6,000-square-foot building, I saw an opportunity to bring this vision to life. Thus, Alabama HEAL was born—a place where Health Education and Accessible Living converge to empower individuals from all walks of life. Our academy is dedicated to:

• Over-Qualifying Students: Providing hands-on training in EKG technology, medical assisting, phlebotomy, front desk operations, and EHR systems. We ensure our students are not just qualified but exceptionally prepared to excel.
• Removing Barriers: Offering accessible living solutions to support our students' journeys, recognizing that a stable living environment is crucial for learning and growth.
